Who is A.T. Pike?

A.T. Pike is an independent author and writer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His work focuses heavily on poetry, introspection, lived experiences, mental health themes, personal growth, identity, grief, perseverance, and emotional honesty.

When did you start writing?

I started writing around the age of 13. A major influence on me was my 9th-grade English teacher, Mr. Tom Mace, who encouraged my creativity and once told me: “Never stop writing.”

What inspired Life Through the Eyes of a Wolf?

The book was built from years of personal poems, journal-like reflections, and writings created over time — many of them written during emotionally difficult periods of my life.

What genre is your book?

Life Through the Eyes of a Wolf is primarily poetry, reflective prose, and personal writings exploring themes of depression, identity, loss, love, recovery, faith, resilience, self-reflection, and mental health.

Is the book autobiographical?

Many pieces are inspired by real emotions, real experiences, and real struggles. Not every piece is strictly literal, but the emotional core of the writing is genuine and deeply personal.

Why the wolf imagery?

Wolves symbolize survival, isolation, loyalty, instinct, resilience, identity, and the tension between solitude and belonging. The wolf became both a metaphor and an extension of self-expression throughout my writing.

Who is this book for?

This book resonates most with readers who enjoy introspective writing, emotional honesty, darker reflective themes, meaningful poetry, and thoughtful late-night reading.

Do the poems need to be read in order?

Not necessarily. The collection was arranged semi-chronologically and emotionally, but readers can experience almost any piece independently.

Are there any content warnings?

Some pieces discuss depression, grief, addiction, hopelessness, emotional trauma, and existential themes. The collection is ultimately rooted in perseverance, reflection, and surviving difficult chapters of life.
